By being good. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9 —God saves us by faith in His grace, not our good works. By believing there is a God. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! James 2:19 —Just believing that God exists does not save you. You say Jesus is Lord. Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven... Matthew 7:21 —Just saying Jesus is Lord will not save you. Did your life change is the test? Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 —Your life will change when you receive the Jesus Christ of the Bible. —-Going to church does not save us any more than being in the hospital makes you a doctor. Religious people crucified Jesus on a cross. For God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all God's anger against us. He used Christ's blood and our faith as the means of saving us from his wrath. Romans 3:25 Jesus shed His blood on a cross. Jesus blood is the only power to save us from sin. Is it the desire of your heart to put your faith only in the finished work of Jesus? |
